About Me
My story started in Eastern Europe and more specifically in Bulgaria. Having grown up during the collapse of Communism and experienced the aftereffects, I decided to explore the world right before graduating from university. My travel adventures took me to England first and the United States the following year. Ultimately, I decided to make the States my home, and subsequently completed my undergraduate degree at Tulane University which a few years later was followed by a graduate degree from Kennesaw State University. Throughout my educational career I was told by professors and mentors to redirect my focus to psychology and therapy, but I wasn’t ready to listen. Instead I studied Linguistics and even considered Law School. My studies led me to the educational field and more specifically holding a leadership role at a university. With the years passing, I noticed that what I enjoyed the most is my interactions with the students and helping them navigate life. I finally listened to my teachers’ advice and immersed myself in the world of trauma healing, and the more I learned, the more I hungered to experiment with a variety of therapeutic modalities. At that point I considered following the traditional approach of a university degree and licensure, but upon further research decided to follow my heart which led me to study therapeutic practices that are non-pathologizing, non-judgmental, compassionate, loving, and have a spiritual foundation.
Throughout my life I have experienced many turbulences and very challenging circumstances, but these practices have been transformative for me. I used to run away and avoid dealing with the emotional pain which became exhausting and maladaptive. The journey back to love and harmony continues but I operate from my True Essence- empowered, connected, curious, confident, creative, alive, and present. Now, I desire to help you get on the path of healing and welcoming all of You.
